Independence Day Celebration
  • August 15, 2021
  • 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Our Independence Day celebrations began with flag hoisting at Klorofeel School Campus by Mr. Gopal Nethani Rao and Dr. Adarsh Rath.

Social Proximity considerations ensured neither teachers nor students could be present in person. The joy of singing the national anthem was shared from the confines of our homes, watching the fluttering Tricolour on our screens.

Theatre has been integral to Learning at Klorofeel through the last year, thanks to Binod Mahakur, our Drama Faculty. Drama is a wonderful learning medium, mixing Action, Participation, Teamwork, Joy into a collective education experience. A Play on Freedom, delightfully executed, is thus an expected staple in any Klorofeel event, within or outside the “classroom”. This time, students explored the meaning of freedom, and different perspectives of freedom through this fun medium.
Like drama, art and craft are necessary elements in our students’ experience. Our Arts teacher, Subhadip Bhattacharya, demonstrated the works of our students, created over weeks of enthusiasm mixed with colours.
Our students are working towards creating and programming their own robot, with the coaching of Dr. Duri Sastry (coaching students for International Robotics competitions over the last 15 years). Three of our faculty members, Puja Kumari, Somnath Pattnaik, and Avantika Maurya, programmed a robot and demonstrated its motion to inspire the students towards what they can do.
K Kshiteesh and Pratham Epari, of Class 5 were the Master of Ceremonies, getting initiated into conducting an online event of this magnitude, early in their lives.
National Gallery of Modern Art
  • June 11, 2021
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Our students were taken on a virtual tour of the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), guided by  Arghya Kamal Ganguly, Asst Curator.
The students (and the teachers) got introduced to legendary artists like Amrita Sher Gill, Jamini Roy, Raja Ravi Verma, Nicholas Roerich, Nandalal Bose, and their work.
It was an educational voyage through art history for all.
To ensure the learning was refreshed and retained, we followed it up with a Quiz on the NGMA virtual tour.
Rabindra Jayanti Celebration

On 8th May, Saturday, we celebrated the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, online. It was remotely inaugurated by Shri Avik Ghosh, teacher at Biswa Bharati for three decades, and founder of Children’s Theatre Academy.

Children from classes 2 to 6 volunteered to speak a few lines on Tagore and we were overwhelmed with the participation. As many as 25 students chose to speak.

The high point of the celebration was the dance performance by four students, Navya Sinha and Sonakshi Mahapatro (Class 5), T. Divyansi and Shraestha Kapoor (Class 6), from their respective homes.
