Our Mission is to explore effective methods of teaching and learning that are fun, meaningful and affordable.
To achieve this, we intend to:
· Create a “connected” School that is also a Laboratory to showcase effective teaching practices.
o Alumni from our school will not just excel in their professions but also be role models in society, and make a difference to the businesses, communities and people around them
o Nurture and share holistic Curriculum and Practices for Purpose-centered, responsible living.
o Go beyond the “syllabus”, focus on Sports and Physical activities, Nature and Responsible Living, Purpose and Values, Thinking and Questioning, Introspection and Empathy, …
o Students grow their Core Principles, Interests, Strengths, Personal Life Processes, …
· Nurture an Education Lab that becomes:
o Centre to share knowledge and disseminate best practices
o Hub to attract the best experts and teachers who share their experience, as well as youth aspiring to be the ideal teacher
o Institute for students across the country coming in for limited durations to Immerse in goal focused Learning. They come in inspired, and go out with Curiosity for more
· Be seen as an Aspirational Centre for Teachers and Parents who connect with us to enjoy and progress in their journey as Teachers, Parents and Mentors.
· Remain connected with Community and discover opportunities for mutual leverage.
o Build a Green campus and sustainable practices, and Curriculum on Green Living.
o Engage in co-creation of learning and social spaces, collaborative problem solving.
There is skepticism that if we do all these, Maths and English will suffer. There is no data to back that belief. Exposure to diverse facts and networks, connections and perspectives, create all round development in surer fashion. Those being force-fed Maths all the time develop a scare for the subject, and that is unfortunate.
Klorofeel objective is to nurture a joyful learning environment with Meaning and Relevance to the real world, not to create an insular Utopia. In fact, connectedness with environment and community is our differentiator. It is thus core to our objective, and imperative that our students show the best results in the material world, competing consistently at the IITs, NITs, NID, NIFTs, coveted medical schools, NLS, ISI or St Stephens of our country, or wherever else they choose. And it is important they think beyond – that they find meaning and fulfilment in their lives even as they garner money and recognition.
