Message on Special Fee Structure for Admissions 2021
The original Fee Structure for Klorofeel School as announced last year is stated in Annex 3 and Annex 4. The current Covid environment and Government advisories suggest schools in classes from LKG till Class 6 will not open in normal mode immediately. Klorofeel School is committed to creating enriching, memorable and life shaping learning experiences for our students. Our plans include exposure to joyful and purposeful opportunities in sports, culture, arts and competitive learning experiences. Klorofeel School has demonstrated its commitment with a best in the region infrastructure in an expansive campus that includes buildings conducive to joyful learning for your children, sports facilities, audio-visual room for cultural activities and competitions, plots and plants to learn about Nature, a plan for exploring the skies using telescope, libraries of Toys, Tools and Books, connect with local heritage and society, and more.
Due to probable restrictions when the new academic year starts in April 2021, we are not sure if the students can derive maximum advantage out of our sports, library, exposure visits, culture, quizzing and other competition opportunities in the ensuing academic session. In anticipation of that reduced engagement, we are announcing a pro active revision of fees that applies to existing students and new-joiners in 2021. It is indicated in Annex 1 for Class 1 to Class 6, and in Annex 2 for LKG and UKG. This revision in fees is triggered by a special situation and will not apply for students who will join in later years when the environment is more conducive to learning through intense engagement with classmates and teachers, sports, culture and social interactions. We understand the majority of our parents do not have computers or fast internet, and our Remote Engagement respects that constraint. However, we strongly recommend parents to invest in fast internet and tablets or computers, so our children can derive maximum benefit while Covid based restrictions are in place.
From end of March 2020, Klorofeel is providing education through interactive engagement and moving at the student’s pace. We will use Computers and Internet but not remain limited to those. We will use books, educational tools and activities as needed to enhance the education experience. Science experiments, using material available at home, regular Quizzing, exploration on Cultural Heritage are regular experiences for our students in 2020. Our students engaged in learning experiences with joy while rather than staying glued to the screen. Making our students self-motivated in their studies is the key objective of our education at Klorofeel School. Accordingly, our process of teaching has been through activities, interactions, observations and exploration where students learn by doing, not through rote learning. We follow the practice of encouraging children to ask questions, and feel proud when they do tasks on their own, without being perturbed by the mistakes. We do not expect parents or tuition to do the homework. When children make mistakes, we know they are exploring and learning. Perfectly submitted assignments every time reflect well on the parents’ education and their commitment to do the school homework, but harm the child’s possibilities to learn.
Students who will join this year will get this interactive student centric engagement at their pace. This is a choice the parents need to make – whether they prefer the child-centric engagement or a non-interactive screen in front of their children. The expansive nature of Klorofeel campus and buildings, and the size of our classrooms equips Klorofeel much more than others to provide the enhanced experience to students even while maintaining the rules on physical distance. Thus while Covid threats and restrictions continue, Klorofeel School becomes the obvious best and safest place for your child. Our Remote Engagement experiences do not limit your children’s day to the screen, and our School Campus is engaging enough and expansive enough to provide an enhanced experience even while respecting the physical constraints. Schools with limited space and cramped classrooms will unfortunately be severely restricted in these conditions. During the period of pandemic our infrastructure development has progressed despite all constraints. We are ready to open the campus for our children the moment three conditions are satisfied: it is safe to open, the government allows and parents opt for it.
